At The Abbey, we take a lot of pride in the care that we provide to our clients. And our experience indicates that these compassionate, individualized, and high-quality healthcare services lead to excellent outcomes for our clients and their families.
Rather than take our word for it, however, you may find it helpful to hear from the people whom we have cared for over the years. A sampling of testimonials is offered below.
I hope you remember me. I just passed my 4th year sober. My life is great – wife, kids all doing great, as well. I want to thank the whole team for helping me get through some tough times.
Karen & the Abbey Staff,
It’s been one year since I arrived at The Abbey. I’m happy to say that after leaving The Abbey, my life has improved beyond words. I can’t thank you enough for all you did for me. Now that I’ve shed the self-destructive alcoholic negativity I immersed myself in, my marriage is very strong, my work life couldn’t be better – really every aspect of my life has been amazing.
My sincere thanks for the wonderful work that you do,
Dear Abbey & Karen,
I would like to say a big THANK YOU!! for helping our daughter at your awesome facility. It was truly an answer to prayer in a time of great need in our lives. As a parent, you want the best for your child, and I know that [our daughter] got the specialized treatment that she needed so very much!
[She] was welcomed with open arms and helpful staff members, which helped her to ease her nerves and help her with her journey. We cannot thank you enough for helping our daughter, and I would gladly recommend your facility to anyone in need.
Karen, you are an angel in disguise, and [our daughter] thinks so very much of you! You are a caring individual who goes above and beyond the call of duty to help those who come to The Abbey.
Again, thank you so VERY MUCH,
~Parent of an Abbey Client
My friends at The Abbey,
I remember the day I came through your doors. I was tired, scared, and very unsure of myself. Tired of fighting life and what seemed like a world of hurt, pain, and injustice. I was beat; they had won. I was scared of failure or maybe finding out who I really was. It took all of my strength just to make it a couple hours at a time.
For reasons I will never know, I met all of you. You patiently put the pieces of me back together. You did it with compassion, honesty, and hope. I believe that my mom knew you were the only ones special enough, caring enough, and gifted enough to trust her only son with!
I will never have the words to tell you how much all of you mean to me! All of you have a special place in my heart!
Thank you my friends,
Dear Abbey Staff,
I just picked up my 1-year sobriety medallion at AA last night.
A year ago, I walked through The Abbey’s doors – a hot mess and ready to die.
Thanks for helping me want to save my life! AA is helping me to live it!
Love you all and I am so grateful for all you do,
To my Abbey Family,
I really don’t think any words will ever be able to describe what The Abbey and all of you have done for me. You have not only saved my life, but given me a better one.
You have also given me hope and a family. When I walk through The Abbey’s doors, all my broken pieces are mended.
I was not in a good place before. I was not a very good person. I no longer have to be that. I get to be this beautiful, spirited soul that I always longed to be. For that, I am eternally grateful.
Thank you all for sticking by me, for believing in me, and caring for me.
The Abbey means so much to me, and I have all of you to thank – and God for leading me to you.
Just simply – THANK YOU,
Dear Joe, Karen, and Abbey Staff,
I am writing this letter on the eve of my six month’s sobriety date. It is only by the grace of God and The Abbey that I am still sober. Alcoholics Anonymous is one pillar of that foundation, but equally important was the level of care and compassion that I received while living at The Abbey. I thank you all from the depths of my soul.
I wanted to write this letter shortly after I left The Abbey, but decided not to “jump the gun.” I wanted a little sobriety under my belt before I sent a proper thank you.
Since I left, I have been putting my life back together. I got my driver’s license back after 10 years of not having one. I practice yoga every day. I even quit smoking! I never thought I could do that!
I am eternally grateful for everything The Abbey provided for me. You have helped me change my life.
Many thanks and much love,
Karen and Staff,
I will be forever grateful to each and every one of you. I came to you for knowledge and the tools toward a life of sobriety. Today marks 30 days home, and I am proud to say I’m working on my program and using my tools every day. I have such a peace inside of me, and I can honestly, openly, and willingly say, “I love sobriety & love all of you for the gift you gave me: my life!”
On Thursday, I will be celebrating 3 months sober.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart – always and forever,
Dear Staff at The Abbey,
We just wanted to send you a letter of thanks for all of the good work you do!
Your center is so impressive, I would recommend it to anyone who was in need of treatment.
Your staff is stellar and the openness and kindness of all there really made a bit impact on our family in ways that will stay with us.
It was so wonderful that there is a place like The Abbey!
~Parents of a Client
A note to thank you for your professionalism, compassion, passion in your field and extraordinary service including your staff.
I know the individual has to want to surrender, but The Abbey was a GODSEND! It is beautiful to see [my son] be happy, smiling, learning who he is, loving life, and working a strong program.
To have my son back -- I am truly blessed.
You are an inspiration!
~Mother of a Client
It is hard to find the words to express how grateful we are for you and everyone at The Abbey. [My husband] says you truly are an angel. It is obvious that this is not a job to you -- that it is a calling. You help so many people with their problems and their pain.
Thank you for touching our lives,
Wife of a Client
Please give everyone at The Abbey my most sincere thank you for helping [my son] so much while he was with you. I continue to be extremely impressed with the quality of the staff and the effectiveness of your programs.
From the moment we entered the front door at The Abbey, all of us felt the friendliness, caring attitude, and warmth exhibited by the entire staff. The Abbey is truly an exceptional facility. Having you close at hand has been lifesaving for us.
Whatever happens from this point forward, we know that [our son] has received excellent assistance and now possesses both the tools and the motivation that can help him overcome his dependency. Thank you for turning [him] around. He came to you a wreck, with little hope for a normal life. Now he is looking ahead and dealing with the problems he had previously refused to address.
I cannot adequately express our appreciation for all you have done for us and all we have observed you doing for the other clients. Thank you for this wonderful facility. Especially thank you for going the extra mile with our son.
With deepest appreciation,
~Parent of an Abbey Client
